What is Action Centres UK?

We understand the value of gathering together as a community. Therefore we offer a wide range of locations, purposefully designed with your visit in mind.

Action Centres UK (ACUK) is a non-profit organisation linked to Northamptonshire Association of Youth Clubs (NAYC) in the United Kingdom that focuses on supporting the development of young people through outdoor activities and residential experiences. Together, NAYC and ACUK aim to help young people build confidence, independence, and important life skills in a safe and structured environment.

ACUK operates several residential centres that are used by schools, churches, youth groups, and community organisations. At Pioneer Centre and Whitemoor Lakes, participants can take part in a wide range of outdoor and team-based activities such as climbing, zipwire, paddle sports, and team building challenges. These programmes are designed not only to be enjoyable but also to encourage teamwork, resilience, and personal growth outside the traditional classroom.

Donations and support are used to fund ACUK and NAYC’s charitable work, particularly helping disadvantaged children access residential adventures, improving facilities and equipment, and investing in training for future activity instructors and youth leaders. Any surplus from Action Centres UK is reinvested into youth development, giving methods to ensure more young people can benefit from these opportunities. 
 
ACUK also features two unique outreach and development based programs. Our 12-month instructor training programme called Firm Foundations helps equip young adults to enter as fully qualified instructors into the outdoor education industry. Midlands UNITE is our network for youth leaders and church leaders that offers incredible opportunities to receive support and mentorship from training providers, as well as inspiring events for youth, young adults, and churches alike.

Pioneer Centre is located next to the picturesque Wyre Forest, featuring 25+ activity sessions (including zipwire, archery, and indoor caving), conference spaces, and en-suite accommodation.
